I shot this image while covering a Lucha Libre in downtown Guadalajara, Mexico. Lighting was less than ideal, but I think the meaning gets across. Lucha Libre is like pro wrestling but WAY more ridiculous.

I got the new Atmosphere EP (not the new new cd, but the latest EP) and was very happy to see an image from our session a month ago in the inside cover. I’ve listened through the new CD (When Life Gives You Lemons You Paint That Shit Gold) a few times and I’ve really taken to it. It’s more hip-hop than the last albums, more hooks, more pretty instrumental stuff. I think they’ve really found their sound.

We had a small gathering at the studio last night followed by Karaoke at the best bar in the world, the 1029 bar. Dan is 26 years old yesterday, and will be spending the next couple years in P.A. school. But mostly he’ll be in Chicago drinking.

These images are from the archives. Most were shot in 2006 or 2007. It’s interesting to me to go back through the archives and see which images catch my eye after a couple years.
